StephNora Okere, renowned actress, movie producer, and Girl Child Advocate, is set to unveil her latest cinematic masterpiece, “Roberta,” under her production company, AfroVision Ltd. The Executive Premiere, aptly facilitated by the Bank of Industry (BOI), will take place at the prestigious Silverbird Cinema VIP Hall in Central Area, Abuja, on February 17.

Directed by Ema Edosio, “Roberta” weaves a compelling narrative around Amaka Nwachukwu, portrayed by the talented Somkele Iyamah. Amb. Stephanie Nora Okere, the producer of “Roberta,” expressed her excitement about the project and its potential impact on society. She shares her thoughts, saying, “I grew up in Nigeria in a relatively comfortable home, yet faced challenges in my career and as a student. I can imagine the hardships for underprivileged girls; some are forced into these situations due to survival instincts. My belief is that highlighting these situations and dangers is an effective way to educate everyone on the signs, dangers, and potential solutions, especially for the vulnerable,” underscoring the mission of her NGO, BIGSISTER CARE FOUNDATION.

The Executive Premiere is an invitation-only event, bringing together key stakeholders, advocates, and supporters of girl-child empowerment. “Roberta” transcends the realm of mere entertainment; it is a powerful narrative shedding light on societal issues and championing the resilience of women determined to overcome adversity.
