In other words the kind of look that a particular community, locality ,state or nation have is directly equal to the cognitive sophistication or otherwise of the people living therein

I recently find out that in classifying a country as developed and others as deveping, it is a function of 80% of what is contained in the brain of the inhabitants and 20% of the infrastructure that can be found in the environment

This is because whatever we see in real life / physically had once existed in the brain of someone according to the postulations of philosophers of old (read the idealism philosophy for better comprehension)

The accepted values, belief and orientation of a people totally determine every other things that will happen in the geographical area good or bad. And until we all come to this realisation, our situation will only seem like that of a mad man pursuing shadows!

I mean how can we have the following happen on a daily basis and we seems to be comfortable about it and expect the country called Nigeria (my dear country) to be a better place for all to live, safely and enjoy as humans should live-

How do we‐

1) Not ensure that government decides/implements/enforces a minimum wage that is actually a living wage for both Private and Public sector to follow (as is the case in the developed nations) so that there will be dignity in labour and every employer working can live fine with family ?

2) Praise people that we do not understand/know their source of wealth (people that became Millionaire/Billionaires overnight) who oppress and suffocate the workers and everyone (especially on social media) with their ill gotten overnight wealth and make innocent workers and others vow to also do anything to get this money. I mean how is our system so loose that government could not streamline/torchlight people’s banking operations with a view to fish out those that have accrued wealth illegally?

3) Allow bus drivers drinking alcoholic substance or the ones we can perceive has just taken alcohol to carry passengers/drive a car on our roads at the risk of other road users and we open our eyes and condone that saying in our mind that God will grant us journey mercy (a lot have died or disabled needlessly because of this)?

4) Allow political parties to place huge amount of money on forms for elective positions thereby disenfranchising a lot of people that may have genuine interest in rendering services to the community/society ?

5) Have people selected into our elective positions by few people instead of by popular vote without any clearly started terms and we expect such persons who have emptied their account or borrowed from banks to come and work magic…?

6) Have Police (or any other security agent) escorts those that are morally bankruptcy and even criminals. I just saw a video on social media where a armed Policeman was opening car door for a young man that was seriously sagging ( how do we portray our Policing System in this light). They even escort buses/cars carrying goods or other illicit items to avoid security scrutiny…haba now…is this not terribly wrong??

7) Have this rate of unemployment when we can make laws to regulate some professions/careers/works so that we restore the dignity in them and peg a living wage for them and see how millions of people will be gainfully employed just because of this singular act (such professions/careers/works can be discussed at another forum)

8) How do we allow people in authority after these many years to still be giving us darkness in place of light ?

9) How do we allow those we call leaders to be shortchanging/limiting us in terms of potentials and opportunities for success and we still hail and worship them as gods even when they do not have any significant impact/plan for our growth and well-being especially as youths?

10) Allow our system to be this bad and unsafe when we know that we are all in it together. How do we condone and allow those in position of authority to corruptly enrich themselves and treat us as if we do not matter?

11) Hope to sleep with our two eyes closed when we are comfortable in taking (stealing) for our family (living and unborn) what belongs to everyone of us??

12) How do we become this dormant, passive and hopeless that we cannot figure out how our people can be happy and enjoy the dividend of democracy ?

I just hope this can ignite some deeper introspection and we can begin to take some positive steps in having a really progressive and developed cognitive capacity which is the only recipe for physical development
