While Jesus is the best-known servant leader we have come to know, the concept however predates him by almost 1000 years and has endured to this day.
I have observed your lifestyle keenly over the years as you effortlessly and genuinely relive the life of Christ, not just because of your calling as a priest but arising from an innate desire to be there for people irrespective of class or creed.
Perhaps it takes someone not born into royalty to fully embrace servant leadership. Such a man was Jesus, who was born in a manger and whose only crown was a crown of thorns, Such a man could not only preach Servant Leadership, he could practice it and his practice has inspired his followers to do likewise.
It is in furtherance of this My Lord, that you have at all times and at great risk to your personal safety proclaimed the words of the Scriptures in Ezekiel 13:10-16 to wit.
“ When a flimsy wall is built, they cover it with whitewash, therefore tell those who cover it with whitewash that it is going to fall ….. when it falls, you will be destroyed in it …….. So I will spend my wrath against the wall and against those who covered it with whitewash. I will say to you, “ The wall is gone, and so are those who whitewashed it”.
Simply put, there can be no true peace in business, politics or governance without equity, honesty and integrity. In pursuit of this truth, you have not only invested in national peace but have always preceded your call for peace with an insistence for justice.
Those who understand your principled position hold you in reverent admiration and those who do not, suffer the fate of Arrogance in Ignorance. Regardless, I am convinced that no amount of aspersion cast upon you will stick. Your glowing leadership skills already put you at the fore as a national and global example.
On this occasion of the anniversary of your birth, I join millions all over the world to not only wish you happy birthday, long life with good health, but also to say, the people will continue to listen and follow you as the man wey sabi road both in the physical and spiritual.
