President Bola Tinubu is set to appoint the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, as coordinator of the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign structure in Rivers State and the FCT ahead of the 2027 general election. According to ThisDay, the former Rivers State governor will keep his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) despite the arrangement. Sources told the newspaper that the plan is meant to tap into Wike's political network without formally placing him within the APC hierarchy, a party he has repeatedly said he does not belong to. The move comes amid growing disagreement between the minister and several APC governors over how support for Tinubu's re-election should be organised. Wike has maintained that he does not need APC membership or a position in the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) to work for the president's second term. The proposed role would give him a defined campaign responsibility in two territories where he has repeatedly claimed considerable influence. The sources said the campaign would not run on a single chain of command. Former Zamfara State Governor, Abdulaziz Yari, is expected to serve as Director General of the PCC, but Senate President Godswill Akpabio and his deputy, Jibrin Barau, are not expected to report to him. Instead of a conventional structure in which senior officials answer to the director general, the framework would give some of the party's most influential figures separate spheres of responsibility. A source said the same reasoning underlies Wike's proposed role, as Tinubu wants to prevent clashes among the top drivers of his campaign. Wike recently accused some APC governors of working against him, singling out Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma and Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. That followed the rejection of Wike's "rainbow coalition" by APC governors. Reading out the resolutions of the Progressive Governors Forum days ago, its chairman, Uzodimma, said the governors unanimously agreed to have nothing to do with the coalition. According to the source, Tinubu is moving quickly to define Wike's role in order to head off the growing friction. Meanwhile, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, is being tipped for a prominent spokesperson role in the campaign. Keyamo is said to bring extensive campaign communication experience. He was spokesperson and Director of Public Affairs in Tinubu's 2023 presidential campaign, and held a senior communications role in Muhammadu Buhari's 2019 re-election bid. He has also served in government as Minister of State for Labour and Employment under Buhari, before his current appointment as Aviation Minister under Tinubu.

Hey there! So, “Breath of Life” is this fantastic Prime Video movie, cooked up by the creative BB Sasore and brought to life by Eku Edewor. It’s not your usual faith and redemption story, trust me. The movie is not just visually stunning; it’s got these amazing performances by Wale Ojo, Chimezie Imo, and Genoveva Umeh. These characters weave this story that keeps you hooked till the credits roll.

Now, I usually stick to reviewing fresh movies that catch my eye, but “Breath of Life” made me break that rule. Life’s been pretty hectic for me, so it took about a week post-release for me to see it. And when my brother, Yinka, a tough movie critic, gave it a double thumbs up, I knew this movie was something special.

So, it dropped on Prime Video on November 15, courtesy of Nemsia Films and Derin Adeyokunnu. The story unfolds through the voice of Elijah, taking us on Timi’s journey—a guy who’s lost his way until Elijah steps in and flips his life around.

We go back to the 1950s, meeting young Timi, played by Ademola Adedoyin. This dude is crazy talented—speaking 16 languages, rewriting holy books for fun, acing the British Navy, and becoming the first African clergyman in the Great Church of England. Life is peachy until tragedy hits, and he heads back to Nigeria as a wealthy clergyman.

Things take a dark turn in the village when a local thug and gang cause chaos. Timi tries to do the right thing, testifying against the thug, Baby Fire. But the corrupted colonial judge messes it up, putting Timi and his family in real danger. The aftermath of Baby Fire’s revenge turns Timi into a recluse.

Wale Ojo nails the older Timi in the 1980s, bringing depth and versatility to the character. Chimezie Imo, as young Elijah, adds a heartfelt touch, dealing with a misdiagnosed lung disease and navigating life with the unpredictable Timi and the fearless Anna, an auxiliary nurse.

The attention to detail in “Breath of Life” is off the charts. Props, set design—everything’s on point. Timi’s mountain house, with cobwebs everywhere, gives you a peek into the life he chose after losing his family.

They use stuff around Timi’s house to unlock his emotions, like his reaction to a piece of furniture he hasn’t touched since the tragedy. Anna, the nurse and Elijah’s love interest, adds a cool dynamic, facing off with Timi and her bully of a father.

This movie brings the feels, from Elijah’s rain-soaked plea for love to Timi’s rediscovery of faith. It’s a two-hour emotional rollercoaster, and there’s not a wrong step in sight. In a world where Nollywood isn’t always praised for storytelling, “Breath of Life” stands out—a must-watch masterpiece.
