Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said that the 2027 general elections will be a turning point for Nigeria.
He recently revealed that a coalition has been formed to support opposition leaders in their mission to recover and rebuild Nigeria.
Speaking after meeting with a delegation of Kannywood stakeholders, North West opinion leaders and digital media influencers in Abuja, Atiku shared that the coalition is his response to Nigerians’ demands for change, especially considering the country’s overwhelming challenges at the moment.
According to him, the cries of the people have been loud enough for opposition members who want the best for the nation, and he can assure that 2027 will not be business as usual for Nigerian politics.
“I told the visiting forum that the envisaged coalition is a deliberate effort to recover and rebuild Nigeria in line with the yearnings and aspirations of the people.
I assured the forum that 2027 will not be business as usual,” he said.
He appealed to everyone at the meeting to keep playin an active role in enlightening Nigerians on why they should support the coalition in its quest to solve the nation’s issues.
Atiku concluded by saying that he sees the level of insecurity Nigerians face everyday, stressing that the coalition has what it takes to make the nation more secure.
“I am aware of the pervasive level of insecurity and other challenges citizens are facing on a daily basis. Suffice it to say that we, in the coalition, have the individual and collective capacity to tackle them headlong,” he added.
