Popular singer Fireboy DML has spoken up about his love and dating life. He recently revealed that dating in Lagos State has become very messy, and fans have been reacting.
Speaking on the Reprezent podcast, Fireboy said that despite the crazy dating scene in Lasgidi, he has found a way to thrive with the girls amid the chaos.
According to him, finding love in Lagos has become so dramatic that it inspired one of his recent songs titled “Ashawo.”
The “Vibration” crooner concluded by saying that anytime he is under pressure, the ladies help him find balance.
“In my song ‘Ashawo’ I was trying to paint a picture of what the dating scene is like in Lagos where I live. It’s a mess. It is chaotic. But I thrive with girls. When I’m under pressure, I usually find balance in girls,” he said.
Recall that Legendary singer Bisade Ologunde, a.k.a. Lagbaja, recently made a rare public appearance at Fireboy DML’s concert held at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Toronto, Canada.
The 65-year-old singer dazzled fans with a live performance of “Back and Forth”, his collaboration with Fireboy from his 2024 album, “Adedamola.”
Other guest performers at the show included Lojay and BNXN, and it marked one of Lagbaja’s most notable public performances since he surprised guests at the premiere of “Everybody Loves Jenifa” in Lagos on December 8, 2024.
The masked singer delivered a superb performance of his many hit songs at the star-studded film’s after-party, reviving memories and lighting up the atmosphere.
The concert also featured live renditions of Fireboy’s several hit songs, including his 2025 single “Dopamine.”
“Adedamola,” released in August 2024, features other collaborations with superstars like Seun Kuti and Jon Batiste.
