The Nigerian film industry is in mourning following the sudden death of actress and producer Allwell Ademola on Saturday, December 27, 2025. She was 43 years old.
Reports indicate that Ademola suffered a heart attack at her home and was rushed to Ancilla Hospital in Agege by a neighbour, where she was pronounced dead.
News of her passing has sent shockwaves through Nollywood, with colleagues and friends sharing their grief privately as the industry comes to terms with the loss.
Allwell Ademola was a respected filmmaker who produced several projects throughout her career and was known for mentoring emerging talent, including actor Rotimi Salami. She was also a granddaughter of the late Sir Adetokunbo Ademola, the first indigenous Chief Justice of Nigeria.
