Dami Marshall, daughter of Fuji music icon King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall (Kwam 1), has firmly dismissed speculation linking her romantically to Afrobeats star Asake.
The rumours erupted on social media following Marshall’s Instagram post featuring herself alongside the “Lonely At The Top” crooner at a recent event. Her caption, “Mr Money and Mrs Money,” sparked widespread assumptions among fans and gossip blogs about a potential relationship.
Marshall, who serves as Senior Special Assistant on Tourism, Arts and Culture to the Lagos State Governor, took to Instagram to set the record straight, revealing it was her first encounter with the artist.
“Guys, that was my first time meeting him, so I took a picture. Do not believe blogs, they can do anything for traffic. And I am not a media personality, I am a legal practitioner, currently serving as SSA to Mr Gov. Address me well next time,” the legal practitioner stated.
Additional footage from a nightclub showing the pair together intensified online chatter, with some claiming they had “gone public” with a relationship—claims Marshall’s statement directly contradicts.
Asake, born Ahmed Ololade, has remained silent on the matter. The YBNL signee previously dated Gambian personality Madame Mystique before their relationship ended. He continues to dominate the music scene, recently earning praise from Wizkid, who highlighted his track “Remember” during a 2025 interview.
