The Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Lagos State Command, Superintendent of Corps Oluwaseun Abolurin, has congratulated Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD, mni, OFR on his reappointment as Commandant General for a second five-year tenure.
Abolurin, in a statement on Wednesday, described the Federal Government’s decision to renew Audi’s mandate as a well-deserved recognition of his leadership, noting that the Corps had recorded significant gains in public perception and institutional credibility during the Commandant General’s first term.
“The image of the NSCDC has profoundly improved under his watch,” Abolurin stated, adding that the reappointment presents a fresh opportunity to consolidate those gains and steer the Corps into what he called “a golden era” of public trust and operational effectiveness.
The Lagos Command spokesman also used the occasion to call on public relations practitioners across the Corps to redouble their commitment to image-building efforts, urging them to rise to the expectations of the new season under Audi’s continued leadership.
Abolurin expressed confidence that the second tenure would further strengthen stability, coordination and progress within the service.
