Nigerian actor and producer Rotimi Salami has thanked moviegoers after his film, Kilanko, grossed over N33.3 million at the box office.
Sharing the milestone on Instagram on Tuesday, Salami posted a promotional poster of the film along with a message of gratitude:
“THANK YOU NIGERIANS 🙏🏾
KILANKO hits 33.3m+ and still counting.
Another reason to support us by watching KILANKO.
Now showing in selected cinemas nationwide.”
The announcement follows Salami’s recent appeal to Nigerians to support the film in cinemas, after he revealed it was struggling at the box office and faced the possibility of being pulled from screens.
Produced by Rotimi Salami and directed by Allwell Ademola, Kilanko premiered in Nigerian cinemas in 2026. The film tells the story of a man navigating challenging personal and social circumstances, tackling themes of survival, relationships, and the consequences of his choices.
