Residents of Sagamu Local Government Area are set to benefit from a large-scale free medical outreach organised by the Gateway Front Foundation (GFF), owned by Otunba Senator Gbenga Daniel, with the exercise scheduled to hold on Monday, 21st September 2026, beginning 9am.
The initiative, tagged “The Free Medical Programme,” will run simultaneously across three locations within the LGA: Orita Ijagba Square on Ijagba Street, Ijagba; the Ewusi Palace grounds on Ewusi Street, Makun; and 46 Imoro Atiba Street, off Ilara Market Road, Ogijo, near Havilah School.
Organisers say the screening exercise and clinical assessment will cover an extensive range of conditions, offering both diagnosis and, where necessary, surgical intervention. Eye-related cases, including cataracts, growths, and pterygium, feature prominently, alongside dental cases, tumours, lipomas, and ganglion cysts. Hernia cases, for both male and female patients, are also listed among the focal areas.
The programme places significant emphasis on women’s health, with gynaecological cases, fibroids, vesico-vaginal fistula (VVF), and caesarian sections all included in the scope of services. Orthopaedic care features as well, spanning bone fractures, tumours, dislocations, and, in severe cases, amputations. Diabetes and gastroenterology cases round out the list of conditions to be addressed.
Community leaders driving the initiative have thrown open the doors to all residents, with organisers urging widespread participation under the rallying call: “Come one, come all.”

The outreach forms part of continuing efforts by community stakeholders in Sagamu LGA to bridge gaps in access to specialist medical care, particularly for residents who may otherwise be unable to afford surgical procedures or specialist consultations.
