Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, announced his death in a statement released on Tuesday, expressing deep sorrow over the passing of the respected elder statesman.
The governor described Fasoranti as a revered leader whose life was devoted to the development of Yorubaland and Nigeria.
Aiyedatiwa said the late Afenifere leader was a symbol of wisdom, integrity and selfless service, adding that his contributions to the country and his commitment to the welfare of the Yoruba people would remain part of his enduring legacy.
He noted that Fasoranti dedicated many years of his life to promoting justice, good governance and the interests of the Yoruba people. His principled positions on national issues and guidance to younger generations earned him widespread respect.
