Speaking during a recent interview with content creator Darryl, the singer revealed that he and his wife agreed that they needed to focus on other things after 3 kids. “I don’t want more children now. Me and my wife are taking a break. She needs to get out to work. She wants to do a lot of things like opening her restaurant and launching her spices. I feel she deserves a couple of years off after having 3 kids,” he said.
Recall that the couple welcomed a set of twins 2 years ago, and their double blessing came one year after the heartbreaking loss of their first son, Ifeanyi, in a shocking swimming pool accident.
Davido also confirmed that he would delve into filmmaking in 2025, as he already has various movie projects set for release later in the year. OBO believes that while he is already a recognised singer all over the world, most of his fans are yet to see him display his acting talent on screen, so he plans to explore that side of him very soon.
Bigging up his acting CV, David Adeleke revealed that he already acts in his music videos, and the acting talent viewers saw him display on the visuals of “Jowo” and “Nwa Baby” comes naturally to him when it really comes down to it.
His words, “I can also act. I can act for real. I act in my music videos. I acted in music videos like ‘Jowo’, ‘Nwa Baby’.”
The record label boss concluded by saying he would also invest in a few movie projects before 2025 runs out. According to him, he is already rubbing minds and sharing ideas with Dammy Twitch to launch a few TV series to entertain Nigerians this year. Davido added that it is sad to see how Africa’s film space is going bankrupt nowadays, so he intends to do his bit to revive the continent’s movie industry.
“I am investing in a couple of films this year. Shoutout to my director, Dammy Twitch. We have some ideas, series coming. The film space right now in Africa is going bankrupt. So, we are definitely going to tap into that,” he added.
