An ex-House of Representatives member, Hon. Adekunle Abdulkabir Akinlade, has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR for his visionary leadership under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
This is coming after President Tinubu approved the upgrading of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, into a full-fledged Federal University of Technology.
Speaking via a press statement by his Senior Media Consultant, Akinleye Olu-Philips, Hon. Adekunle said that the decision marks a turning point in the educational trajectory of Yewaland and the Ogun West Senatorial District as a whole.
He revealed that it is proof of the President’s commitment to not just guaranteeing smooth access to quality education, but also ensuring that every region is carried along in the national development agenda.
Adekunle believes that the thoughtful upgrade reiterates the present government’s belief that education will always be the foundation of any country’s growth and global recognition.
Celebrating the upgrade, Hon. Adekunle Abdulkabir appreciated Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) for his applaudable foresight, continuous advocacy, and relentless passion, which have resulted in the realisation of the highly-awaited dream of the Yewa people. He emphasised that the latest development proves Senator Adeola’s commendable sense of duty and unbreakable commitment to members of his constituency.
The former Gubernatorial and Deputy Gubernatorial Candidate also hailed the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewa land, His Royal Majesty Oba Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle, for his remarkable leadership that has played a vital role in triggering a united support towards the development of the region.
Thanking the traditional rulers and institutions across Ogun West, he noted that their relentless push towards the incredible outcome will not be forgotten.

According to him, the establishment of a Federal University will trigger infrastructural development, job creation, youth empowerment, enhanced commerce, innovation, and increased national prestige.
