Nollywood actress Uche Montana has refuted reports suggesting that she was involved in the reported drug crisis surrounding actress Regina Daniels and her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko. She recently distanced herself from the accusation, and fans have been reacting.
In a press statement shared on her Instagram page on Monday, Montana addressed the allegations days after Nwoko, in a lengthy Facebook post, blamed her for allegedly undermining his wife’s rehabilitation process.
Reacting to the claims, Montana simply revealed that she has no involvement or connection to what Ned Nwoko alleged.
According to her, she had to release a statement to set the record straight and clear her name online.
Montana concluded by saying that she’ll keep protecting her peace amid all of the false allegations on the internet.
“My attention has been drawn to a circulating post that appears to link my name to certain claims.
For clarity, I have no involvement or connection to the situation described. This note is simply to set the record straight and protect my peace,” she wrote.
Recall that Regina Daniels recently asked her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, to leave her alone.
She said that marriage is not by force and their union does not even have any legal backing.
In a press statement shared on Instagram, Regina admitted that she was on drugs, but emphasised that her habit is not the cause of her decision to leave Ned.
According to her, she decided to leave his house when it became obvious that the lawmaker is planning to isolate her from her loved ones.
She stated that Ned is only hammering on her drug abuse to distract Nigerians from the real issue.
“Fine, I did drugs. So what? Is that even the issue between us? The moment we had a fight, you rushed to the public shouting ‘drugs, drugs, drugs,’ because you knew it would make a perfect story for the media, something dramatic enough to distract everyone from the real issue!.
You want to find a reason to arrest everyone around me so that I will have no one left beside me, no friend, no support, no safe place to turn to. Then when I’m completely isolated and broken, I will be forced to come back to you because I will have nowhere else to go,” she added.
