MTN Nigeria has launched a heartwarming wedding initiative as part of its Y’ellotide season of surprises, expanding its festive campaign beyond the recently concluded Y’ello Santa tour held across six cities in the country.
According to Onyinye Ikenna-Emeka, Chief Marketing Officer of MTN Nigeria, the initiative underscores the brand’s dedication to fostering human connection and making meaningful contributions to communities. “The Y’ellotide season is about connecting people to happiness, opportunities and progress. The Y’ello Santa set the pace, and now the Y’ellotide Weddings will bring a tangible, life-changing difference to couples starting their families,” she said.
Unlike traditional corporate sponsorships, MTN noted that the wedding project is designed as a surprise intervention intended to create unforgettable moments for couples tying the knot during the festive period. The initiative aims to ease the financial burden associated with wedding ceremonies while amplifying joy for Nigerian families.
Couples living in Nigeria and planning weddings between November 29 and December 31 are eligible to participate. Submissions can be made directly by interested couples or by friends who wish to nominate them. Registration is available via yellotide.mtn.ng/wedding or through MTN Nigeria’s official social media channels.
MTN added that the programme reinforces its commitment to Nigerians beyond telecommunications, demonstrating its desire to stand with citizens during significant life milestones and celebrate alongside them.
