Entric Power System has successfully delivered a solar power transformation to three community health facilities in Rivers and Imo States, addressing critical electricity challenges in rural healthcare.
The Nigerian renewable energy company raised $1,680 through GoFundMe to install solar systems at healthcare centres in Odagwa and Okehi (Rivers State) and Ngor-Okpala (Imo State).
Co-founder Abiye Geoffrey said Entric Power System initiated the project to improve treatment conditions for accident victims and pregnant women in underserved areas.
The solar power transformation has yielded immediate results, including an 80% reduction in power outages, shortened surgery times, and improved patient care.
Rose-kate Ubochi, a midwife at Onyinye Maternity, praised the intervention as exemplary corporate support for healthcare infrastructure.
Traditional birth attendant Celine Worgu reported delivering two babies effortlessly on the installation night, highlighting enhanced nighttime delivery capacity and reduced dependence on unreliable grid electricity.
Geoffrey emphasised Entric Power System’s commitment to building sustainable partnerships that strengthen Nigeria’s rural healthcare infrastructure.
