TOPIC: What Is Man? (5)

MESSAGE
What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? – Psalm 8:4
God’s love for humanity is so profound that it prompted the psalmist to ask this remarkable question. His love knows no boundaries and endures forever (Jeremiah 31:3). When Adam fell in the Garden of Eden, God’s love was so great that He immediately set in motion a divine plan of redemption to restore us to fellowship with Him. Because of this extraordinary love, He has granted us the privilege of being seated together with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6).
There is a saying in Yorubaland where I come from: the house of someone you truly love is never too far away. God’s overwhelming love brought Him all the way from heaven to earth to save us. His love is so meticulous that even the individual strands of hair on our heads matter to Him.
Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. – Matthew 10:29-31
When I hear Christians express doubt about whether God will answer their prayers, I wonder if they truly comprehend the depth of His love for them. Romans 8:32 declares:
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Consider this: if someone loves you so deeply that they would give you their only child, what could possibly be too great for them to give you? I want you to understand just how much God loves and treasures you. When you approach Him in prayer, remember that you are speaking to someone who is eager to give you what you ask for and who desires only the very best for you (John 14:3-4).
Beloved, God’s love for you surpasses anything you could ever imagine. It grieves His heart when you fail to recognize how precious you are to Him. Make it a priority to spend quality time with Him each day. Through this intimate fellowship, you will discover more about His boundless love and learn about the wonderful things He has prepared especially for you.
