Despite the ongoing frustrations in global crude oil prices, Dangote Petroleum Refinery Petrochemicals has assured Nigerians of a stable price of the commodity.
The company recently revealed that guaranteeing price stability is proof of its utmost commitment to supporting the Nigerian economy.
Speaking via a press statement signed by its Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, Aliko Dangote revealed that because a stable price will go a long way towards easing the burden on Nigerian consumers, the company has to make it happen.
Dangote said that the thoughtful decision proves its dedication to offering affordable, dependable and top-class petroleum products without jeopardising operational efficiency and sustainability.
According to him, Dangote Refinery’s approach is also in alignment with the Federal Government’s Nigeria First policy, which promotes the prioritisation of locally-produced goods and services.
He noted that refining petroleum products domestically is his own way of making a vital contribution to the country’s energy security, foreign exchange savings, and overall economic resilience.
“Our approach aligns with the objectives of the Federal Government’s Nigeria First policy, which promotes the prioritisation of locally-produced goods and services.
By refining petroleum products domestically at the world’s largest single-train refinery, we are proud to make a substantial contribution to Nigeria’s energy security, foreign exchange savings, and overall economic resilience—aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which is focused on addressing the nation’s economic challenges and improving the well-being of Nigerians,” he said.
Dangote then appreciated President Tinubu for his applaudable Naira-for-Crude initiative, which has helped the company to consistently decrease the price of petroleum products for the benefit of all Nigerians.
“We are immensely grateful to President Tinubu for making this possible through the commendable Naira-for-Crude Initiative, which has enabled us to consistently reduce the price of petroleum products for the benefit of all Nigerians.
Dangote Petroleum Refinery remains committed to ensuring that the benefits of our local refining capacity are fully realised and enjoyed by the Nigerian populace.
We will continue to prioritise affordability, quality, and national interest in every facet of our work,” he added.
