Miliki 101.3 FM has appointed veteran broadcaster, media entrepreneur, and publisher of The Press Nigeria (thepressngr.com), Mr. Faleye Oluwatosin Simon, as its new General Manager. The decision was made to boost leadership at the radio station while consolidating its brand identity.
Mr Faleye Oluwatosin is highly respected in the media space with more than a decade of experience as a journalist, broadcaster, brand developer, and content manager.
Currently working as the Editor-in-Chief of The Press Nigeria, Faleye is one of the fast-rising platforms shaping digital journalism in Nigeria.
Before his present job, he was Editor/Manager at The Page News, News Reporter with Silverbird Television (covering government activities across Ekiti, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, and Kogi States), Cameraman at Ovation TV, and Producer at St. Martins Media.
He has also worked as a scriptwriter in Nollywood, a content aggregator for Boomplay, a brand consultant for Wema Bank Plc, and a talent manager for top Nigerian artistes like Lanre Teriba (Atorise), Mike Abdul, and Wasiu Haruna-Ishola.
Beyond his impressive résumé, Mr Faleye is very familiar with Miliki 101.3 FM. In fact, he played a vital role in shaping the station’s identity and programming right from its formative stages.
Mr Faleye Oluwatosin Simon was the brain behind the name Miliki FM, curating and introducing flagship shows such as “Ojumo Re,” which remains key to the station’s programming schedule to this present day.
He contributed almost half of the station’s music library from his personal collection, guaranteeing quality and diverse songs for listeners.
Faleye also arranged the Miliki FM’s best jingles and idents, voiced by popular gospel and fuji artistes like Lanre Teriba (Atorise), Mike Abdul, Yinka Best, Abel Dosunmu (Mega 99), and others.
Reacting to the news, Faleye revealed that he is looking forward to getting the job done alongside his dedicated team to take broadcasting to the next level at Miliki 101.3 FM.
