Peter Okoye of P-Square, also known as Mr P, has shared a touching message about the true meaning of family.
He recently revealed that while family is blood related, real family is built on trust and loyalty.
Speaking during a recent episode of One on One, Mr P opened up about what he would say to his younger self, especially when the P-Square group was just starting out, if he had the chance to go back in time.
Replying, Peter said that he’ll tell his younger self not to trust completely because no one can love him like he loves himself.
Mr P stated that he’ll also ask young Peter to believe in himself more, noting that greatness will remain a dream unless the person involved has full faith in its possibility.
“Dear young Peter, don’t trust too much. Believe in yourself. Remember, nobody loves you more than you love yourself,” he said.
The singer further said that people should also know the difference between blood ties and real loyalty, insisting that only the latter signifies what family should really be all about.
“Family is blood related, but real family is loyalty,” added.
While Peter Okoye didn’t mention any name, fans quickly concluded that the statement is connected to his past sagas involving his brothers, Jude Okoye and Paul Okoye.
