Popular rapper and activist Falz has reacted to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s official statement on the recent killings in Benue State.
He recently described the write-up as yet another “routine statement.”
President Tinubu’s post, which blasted the attacks and called on security agencies and political leaders to act quickly, read in part, “Enough is enough! I have directed the security agencies to act decisively… Our people must live in peace.”
Reacting furiously via his social media page, Falz revealed that Tinubu has consistently proven that he is not capable of performing the primary duty of securing life and property in the country.
According to him, his latest routine statement does not change that sad reality, and it only reiterates the fact that the citizens are at the mercy of an underperforming president.
“You have consistently shown that you are incapable of performing the primary duty of securing lives and property of your citizens. This routine statement does not cut it,” he wrote.
Falz has been very vocal about insecurity and the lack of a proactive government in recent years.
His latest outburst echoes the anger and frustration several Nigerians are feeling amid the recurring violence in Benue State and other parts of the country.
The rapper’s tweet has since sparked conversations online, with many citizens supporting his stance and a few others criticizing his approach.
