President Bola Tinubu has celebrated the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, on his 71st birthday. He recently hailed Oyedepo’s decades of influence on Nigeria’s spiritual and educational landscape.
Speaking via a press statement signed by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu described Oyedepo as “a towering figure of influence and impact in Nigeria, Africa and beyond on spiritual, educational and philanthropic platforms.”
Appreciating the cleric’s discipline and diligence since establishing the ministry in 1982, the president said that his sacred qualities as a pastor have triggered the growth of Living Faith Church Worldwide and his many contributions to infrastructure, health and education across several cities and countries.
Highlighting Oyedepo’s investments in education, BAT listed the Kingdom Heritage Schools, Faith Academy and the two universities, Covenant and Landmark, as proof that Oyedepo “continues to raise the standard of education, competing favourably with other global institutions.”
“You have built one of Africa’s most impactful Christian ministries from humble beginnings.
Your steadfastness in the Word of Faith ministry is exemplary, birthing many ministries with resonating impact on key sectors of the economy,” he said.
Tinubu further noted that the man of God’s contributions to nation-building through preaching, teaching and service will always be appreciated by the government.
He concluded by describing the respected Bishop as “a pacesetter and symbol of a servant leader for many to emulate.”
