It was a moment of unending joy and heartfelt celebration as renowned media personality, Mercy Alexander, brought smiles to the faces of over a hundred widows through her Mercy Alexander Foundation, during an impactful empowerment outreach held at the Land of Flourish Tabernacle, 6, Mercy Estate, before Access Bank, Ajuwon, Akute on Thursday, 9th October, 2025. The life-transforming event, was designed to uplift, encourage, and empower the widows, who have faced life’s toughest challenges.
The program featured inspiring messages, skill support, financial empowerment and food items, leaving participants deeply moved and hopeful.
Mercy Alexander Foundation leveraged the program to also reach out to street hawkers across Akute and its environment.
The media executive cum philanthropist joined the street rally to empower hawkers.
Mercy Alexander Foundation had earlier empowered women in their good numbers on Sunday, 5th October, with business startup capital, clothing materials, food items and other financial supports at the same venue.
In her remarks, Mercy Alexander emphasized her passion for touching lives and inspiring women to rise above limitations.
“Empowerment begins when a woman discovers her worth. Every woman deserves to live a life of joy, purpose, and dignity,” she said.
The beneficiaries could not hide their excitement as they received financial assistance, business start-up items, and food support. Many described the outreach as a divine visitation and an answered prayer.
The General Overseer of Land of Flourish Tabernacle, Apostle Chidi Shedrach, commended Mercy Alexander for her humility, generosity, and commitment to making a difference and touching lives.
