Popular singer Omawumi has confirmed that she was once in a romantic relationship with late music producer Dokta Frabz. She recently spoke about her friendship with late rapper Dagrin, and fans have been reacting.
Speaking during an interview with Jay On Air, Omawumi said that she was drawn to Dokta Frabz because he loved music and introduced her to several music industry figures.
According to her, the fact that she was always around the talented producer in his studio made it easier for them to catch feelings and start a relationship.
“I was drawn to Dokta Frabz because he was such a lover of music. He was incredibly talented. He would look into my eyes while singing and I would be cheering.
And because of that, I was always around him, in his studio. I met most of the music industry figures through Dokta Frabz. We actually dated,” she said.
Clarifying that she never dated Dagrin, the “If You Ask Me” crooner noted that the rapper was just a friend she regularly hung out with.
Omawumi concluded by saying that the late lyricist was a fantastic guy who died way too early.
“Dagrin was my guy, we used to hang out together. He was a fantastic person,” she added.
Dagrin died in a car accident in April 2010, while Dokta Frabz passed in 2021.
