Senator Otunba Engr. Gbenga Daniel, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Navy and Deputy Chairman of the Senate Committee on National Identity and Population, has extended warm birthday felicitations to His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Lawrence Jaiyeoba Adebajo, Ojuromi VI, the Orimolusi of Ijebu-Igbo.
In a congratulatory message dated November 10, 2025, and addressed to the monarch at the Orimolusi Palace, Ijebu-Igbo, Senator Daniel described the royal father’s reign as a season of renewed pride, peace, and purposeful development for the ancient town.
The former governor of Ogun State noted that Oba Adebajo’s ascension to the throne after a long interregnum ushered in “a glorious dawn of peace, progress, and unity,” adding that the monarch’s visionary leadership has brought inclusive development and harmony to Ijebu-Igbo.
“Your Majesty’s dedication and commitment to fostering inclusive development and harmony stands as a beacon of hope and inspiration to all sons and daughters of Ijebu-Igbo,” Senator Daniel wrote.
He praised the Orimolusi for embodying the virtues of courage, fairness, and devotion to his subjects — qualities which he said have revived the cultural essence and noble heritage of Ijebu-Igbo. According to the senator, the tranquillity and transformation currently being witnessed across the land are clear testimonies of the monarch’s selfless stewardship and divine calling.
As the revered royal marks his birthday, Senator Daniel offered prayers for sustained good health, wisdom, and divine grace to continue leading the town to greater heights of honour and prosperity.
