Nigerian superstar Davido has been officially announced as one of the headline performers for FIFA’s 2026 World Cup Countdown Concert scheduled to take place in Los Angeles, marking another major international appearance for the globally recognized artist.
In a statement released on Tuesday, FIFA confirmed that Davido will share the stage with Major Lazer, the electronic music project led by Diplo, at the event set for June 10 at the Crypto.com Arena.
The concert forms part of FIFA’s first synchronized global entertainment series across the three 2026 World Cup host nations—Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Organisers said additional performers will be announced in the coming days as anticipation builds for the show.
According to FIFA, the Los Angeles edition will deliver a high-energy celebration blending music, football, and culture. Doors are expected to open at 5:00 p.m. PT, with the live broadcast beginning one hour later.
The Countdown Concert series is designed to connect audiences across the host countries through simultaneous performances, with additional live acts also planned in Mexico City and Toronto, streamed in real time to global audiences.
FIFA officials said the initiative reflects the cultural unity surrounding the World Cup, bringing together fans through music and sport ahead of the tournament’s kickoff.
Ticket sales for the Los Angeles concert are scheduled to begin on June 3 at 10:00 a.m. PST. The event will be streamed worldwide across FIFA digital platforms, including a special live broadcast on TikTok, while full replays and behind-the-scenes content will be available the following day on VuMe Live.
