A labour leader has warned President Bola Tinubu that his tenure in Aso Rock is temporary, urging him to change course as millions of Nigerians continue to suffer under worsening economic and security conditions.
Comrade Andrew Emelieze, National Coordinator of the All Workers Convergence, issued the warning in a statement on Sunday, saying the Tinubu administration has failed to ease the hardship facing ordinary citizens.
Emelieze cited rising insecurity — including kidnappings and violent attacks across the country — alongside government policies he said have deepened, rather than relieved, the economic burden on Nigerians.
“Mr President, you are not doing well at all. Your reign has been calamitous, devastating, hellish and highly injurious to the Nigerian people,” he said. “The general prayer and wish of our people now is that a leader like you must not happen to us again.”
The labour leader urged Tinubu to reflect on his legacy and caution against what he described as an imperial style of governance.
“It is never too late — you can always amend your ways and make corrections,” Emelieze said. “Your days are numbered in Aso Rock. Stop behaving like an emperor; you are not a landlord in Aso Rock.”
