The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has released the composition of its campaign council ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The council includes Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and former governors Babatunde Fashola and Akinwunmi Ambode among other prominent party leaders.
The list, released on Thursday by the Kadri Obafemi Hamzat Media Centre, places Sanwo-Olu in leadership roles within both the advisory and campaign structures.
Prince Tajudeen Olusi will serve as Chairman of the Governance Advisory Council, while Sanwo-Olu is listed as Chairman of the Advisory Council. Fashola and Ambode are to serve as co-chairmen.
Other members of the advisory structure include Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu; Mudashiru Obasa, Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly; and former Minister of Health, Adeleke Mamora.
Ojelabi Cornelius is listed as Vice Chairman I, while Obasa will serve as Vice Chairman II and Damilola Sonayon James as Vice Chairman III.
At the campaign council level, Sanwo-Olu is designated as chairman, with his deputy, Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, serving as deputy chairman.
Former Senator Musiliu Obanikoro will serve as Director-General, while Rasaq Ajala is Deputy Director-General and Adekunle Olayinka is Campaign Secretary.
The campaign structure comprises several directorates and committees covering areas such as legal and compliance, party and inter-party affairs, administration and logistics, traditional institutions, diaspora engagement and residents’ associations.
The unveiling is part of the Lagos APC’s preparations for the 2027 elections. Hamzat has already emerged as the party’s governorship candidate, with Damilola Sonayon-James named as his running mate.
The formal inauguration of the campaign council is scheduled for Friday, September 18, at the APC Secretariat on ACME Road, Ikeja.
