Nollywood actress Oluebube Obio has broken her silence over her appearance at an All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign event, claiming she was forced to attend and that her safety was at risk.
The actress made the disclosure while responding to criticism from Nigerians who questioned her presence at the political gathering after videos from the event surfaced online.
Oluebube explained that her appearance was not voluntary, suggesting that she was under pressure to attend despite feeling uncomfortable.
In a social media post, the actress also alleged that she was being blackmailed, although she did not identify the individuals allegedly responsible.
She appealed to her supporters to pray for her, saying she experienced significant discomfort and stress while at the event.
“I was actually forced to be in such settings. My life and safety is not guaranteed. If you watch the video closely, I myself felt so much discomfort and stressed up.
“When the time is right, I will expose the people blackmailing me. The least you can do is to pray for me,” she stated.
However, Oluebube did not provide further details about who allegedly forced her to attend the APC campaign or the nature of the alleged blackmail.
She also did not name anyone in connection with the claims, leaving the circumstances surrounding her appearance at the event unclear.
