In a media environment dominated by speed, virality and diminishing attention spans, veteran broadcaster and media entrepreneur Adebayo Faleke has unveiled a new podcast, CORE ROOM, aimed at redefining public conversations through depth, reflection and intellectual honesty.
Widely recognized by his broadcast personas Bayo Oo and Kaakaki Olódùmarè, Faleke draws on decades of broadcast experience to deliver a platform anchored on calm, intelligent and insightful discussions. The podcast explores themes such as culture, leadership, identity, creativity, governance and the shared human experience, offering an alternative to sensational and hurried media narratives.
CORE ROOM is produced from Faleke’s newly completed, state-of-the-art studio in Ibadan, designed to international standards and envisioned as a creative hub for premium content production. The studio’s minimalist and intentional design mirrors the ethos of the podcast—thoughtful, purposeful and enduring.
Explaining the motivation behind the project, the broadcaster known as Bayo Oo said the podcast was created to provide a space “where conversations are not rushed, sensationalised or compromised,” adding that it is “a room where ideas are free to breathe and truth can be examined without fear or distraction.”
Faleke is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of TV Afrikana, a rapidly growing digital broadcast platform under Africa Integrated Communications Ltd. He also serves as Group General Marketing Manager at Fresh FM Nigeria and General Manager of Tiwantiwa Radio, both owned by renowned broadcaster and music icon Dr. Yinka Ayefele (MON).
Beyond broadcasting, Bayo Oo is a published author and a respected creative in Nigeria’s film and audio-visual industry. His works include the book Dilemmas of a Country, audio projects such as National Cake (Parts 1 & 2) and Banana Republic, as well as acclaimed films Epistle to Baba Mai Gaskiya and Rubicon, which enjoyed nationwide cinema screenings. His career reflects a consistent commitment to content that informs, educates and elevates society.
With its premium production quality and focus on substance over spectacle, CORE ROOM is emerging as a credible voice in Africa’s evolving digital media space. As content platforms continue to multiply, Bayo Oo remains focused on creating work that endures beyond trends.
The podcast is now streaming on the TV Afrikana YouTube channel and across major digital platforms.
