Adenuga’s daughter Bella Disu returns to alma mater after 24 years

Executive vice-chairman of Globacom Bella Disu has returned to her alma mater, Vivian Fowler Memorial College, after 24 years to celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD).

The IWD is celebrated annually on March 8.

Mrs. Disu, daughter of Globacom’s chairman, Mike Adenuga, was at her alma mater with her best friend, whom she met two decades ago at the school.

At the institution, Disu spoke with the students and said she draws inspiration from American singer Beyonce.

Recounting her time at her alma mater, Disu wrote on Instagram on Saturday night, “Yesterday, on #internationalwomensday, I returned to Vivian Fowler Memorial College after 24 years! Addressing the future women leaders was a moment to reflect on the values of kindness, curiosity, and tenacity that shaped me.

“Sharing my journey from joining the school in SS2 to becoming a leader in various industries, I aimed to inspire these young girls to dream, grow, and aspire to leadership, embodying the day’s theme of investing in women.

“This visit was a step toward laying a foundation for equality, diversity, and inclusion, demonstrating that investing in young girls today creates a brighter, more inclusive future for all women.”
