The Association of Housing Corporations of Nigeria (AHCN) has shown its readiness to addresses the problems facing the country’s housing sector.
The group recently revealed its intention via a top-class retreat that brought together key stakeholders, technology innovators, and financial institutions.
The retreat, themed “Transforming Housing Corporations for Effectiveness and Sustainability in Emerging Real Estate Market,” was filled with lots of impactful presentations that focused on reshaping housing delivery in Nigeria.
During his presentation, AHCN President Eno Obongha said the association will keep focusing on transforming the housing landscape by exploring innovative solutions and collaborations that will take the sector to the next level.
Also speaking, AHCN Executive Secretary, Toye Eniola, emphasised the need for a different mindset because stakeholders must start embracing adaptability, technology, and professional integrity to stay relevant and efficient.
A major highlight of the gathering was the presentation by the Managing Director of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN), Mr. Oladapo Fakeye, who shed light on practical guidelines on “Packaging Successful Loan Applications for Housing Development.”
Oladapo broke down how several developers across the country can easily access federal housing funds for their different housing projects.
Engr. Yemi Akinyele concluded the presentations with the unveiling of Kirsan Building Technology, a modern construction solution designed to improve speed and efficiency in housing delivery.
The retreat was rounded off with an Action Plan session, where participants spoke about strategic takeaways and implementation guidelines. The gathering formally ended with a joint meeting of the Technical and Editorial Committee signalling the start of coordinated efforts to put the retreat’s resolutions into action.
