The family of late Nollywood actor, Alexx Ekubo, has announced details of his burial arrangements, with funeral activities set to conclude on June 18, 2026.
The actor reportedly passed away on May 11 after battling kidney cancer.
In an obituary message shared on his Instagram page on Monday, the family appealed to the public to keep the deceased, his wife, and the entire family in their prayers during this period of mourning.
According to the funeral schedule, a service of songs will take place on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at The Monarch Event Centre in Lekki, Lagos, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Guests attending the event are expected to dress in white.
Wake Keep Scheduled For Abia
The wake keep will hold on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 7 Ekubo-Okwaraeke Avenue, Aziukwukwa, Ujari Village, Arochukwu, Abia State.
Funeral service and interment have been fixed for Thursday, June 18, 2026.
The service will be held at Mary Slessor School, while the late actor will be laid to rest at the family residence located at 7 Ekubo-Okwaraeke Avenue, Aziukwukwa, Ujari Village, Arochukwu, Abia State.
A reception is expected to follow immediately after the interment at Mary Slessor School, Amanagwu Village, Arochukwu.
The family also stated that guests attending the funeral events are expected to appear in white attire.
