The Nigerian film industry has a new leader at the top of its umbrella body. Amb. Dr. Queen Blessing Ebigieson, who currently serves as National President of the Association of Movie Producers of Nigeria (AMP), was sworn in on March 7, 2026, as Chairman of the Federation of Registered Nollywood Guilds and Associations.

In her first remarks following the swearing-in, Amb. Dr. Ebigieson outlined a vision centered on unity across the industry’s many guilds and associations, a push for creative and business innovation, and a sustained effort to expand Nollywood’s footprint on the global stage.
The election has drawn a wave of goodwill from stakeholders across the industry, many of whom expressed optimism that her leadership will usher in a new chapter of growth and progress for Nigeria’s film sector.
