Anthony Joshua is not pleased with his victory over Franklin as he anticipates fighting Fury in the near future
Anthony Joshua returned to winning ways after defeating Jermaine Franklin unanimously at the O2 Arena in England. Joshua’s win came after two consecutive defeats against Aleksandr Usyk, but the Briton’s performance was not convincing.

The former world champion dominated the entire fight, he found a tough opponent that he could not knock out, Franklin was tougher than expected.

Joshua is uneasy about his performance
Days before the fight, Eddie Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, commented that depending on his fighter’s performance he would think about what step to take in the future. Hearn’s hope was that Joshua would knock out and then look for Tyson Fury or Deontay Wilder.
Joshua knew it wasn’t one of his best performances. The former champion commented to dailymail.com.uk that he was unhappy.
“I know who they want. They said Tyson Fury,” he told DAZN after the win. “The ball is in his court. I would be honored to fight for the WBC Heavyweight Championship of the World.
“If he’s listening, he knows my promoter; we’ve had dialogue before, so let’s continue this. We ain’t getting younger.”
After the fight Hearn commented that he took a step back from seeking a rematch against Usyk, adding that he would like Joshua to have one more fight before aiming for a world title.
