Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, has officially received his payment receipt after purchasing the presidential nomination form of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The development was confirmed on Saturday in a statement posted on the party’s official 𝕏 handle, noting that the ₦90 million nomination form was paid for on May 8, 2026.
Atiku, who is a prominent figure within the African Democratic Congress (ADC), is among those seeking the party’s presidential ticket for the upcoming election cycle.
The party described the development as part of a broader movement for political renewal, inclusiveness, and leadership reform, adding that the formal presentation of nomination forms is scheduled to take place on Monday at the ADC National Secretariat in Abuja.
In its statement, the ADC said the process reflects its commitment to unity, economic recovery, security, and national development, while also expressing optimism about growing public support.
Meanwhile, former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, and presidential aspirant Mohammed Hayatu-Deen have also reportedly obtained the party’s nomination forms, joining the race for the ADC ticket.
The party added that momentum is building ahead of the primaries, signalling increasing political activity within its ranks as the 2027 elections approach.
