Actor Yomi Fash-Lanso has said that the late Babatunde Omidina, better known as Baba Suwe, was one of the top five comedians he has worked it.
Yomi Fash-Lanso said this in an Instagram post on Monday in which he added that the comic actor will forever be remembered.
The 55-year-old shared a throwback movie scene with Baba Suwe which he captioned: “I don’t know where @lekanlegacy keeps getting these clips from. Thanks so much, “padi”mi. But E DON TEY Ooooooo. Olódùmarè Ṣeun.
“Baba Suwe is one of the top 5 screen comedians I’ve had the opportunity to work with. You’ll forever be remembered egbon “Adimeru Baba Suwe”.
Omidina, who hailed from Ikorodu, was born August 22, 1958 in Inabere Street, Lagos Island, where he grew up.
He began his acting career in 1971 but came into limelight after he featured in a movie titled Omolasan produced by Obalende.
The actor became more popular after he was featured in Iru Esin in 1997.
Baba Suwe died on Monday, November 22, 2021, at age 63.
He was buried at his residence in Elepe Ikorodu, Lagos on Thursday, November 25.
