Charles III has been crowned king of Englan.
The coronation took place on Saturday at London’s Westminster Abbey. The coronation is the first one in England in the last 70 years.
Camilla, queen consort was also anointed and crowned in a simpler ceremony. She, was, however not asked to take an oath.
“I swear to govern the people with justice and mercy, and to uphold the Anglican Church of England and the Presbyterian Church of Scotland,” the King said while taking oath at Westminster Abbey.
