Nollywood actress, Chizzy Alichi has shared her emotional journey to motherhood that details how God never abandons His people.
This is coming following the birth of her first child, a bouncing baby boy.
Describing her experience via her Instagram page, Chizzy revealed that her son was actually born prematurely at 30 weeks, and he spent 25 long days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
The movie star wrote that she actually became a believer because she was desperate to become a mother, and this led her to partake in several online prayer groups, give tithes to various churches, attend the chapel regularly, and donate to orphanages across the nation.
According to Chizzy, the experience has been the most difficult period of her life by far, and things even got worse recently when she began battling a medical condition that forced her into prolonged bed rest at home and in the hospital.
The actress disclosed that after crying and praying for many days and nights, God eventually proved that He is too faithful to let His people down, and those who put their faith in Him can never be disappointed.
“I cried, I prayed… I did everything that came to my head. But God is too faithful to fail. Those who trust Him can never be put to shame,” she wrote.
Appreciating her Creator for granting her heart’s desire in the end, Alichi thanked God for coming through for her and her family at the perfect time.
She shared that her her baby has since been named Kenechukwu, and he is the most perfect child she has ever set her eyes on.
“I don’t even know where to start from. But all I can say is thank you, God Almighty, for what you have done for me and my family. My cutest Kenechukwu is home and he’s perfect,” she added.
