“Is It Your Money?”West Africa’s Biggest Documentary, produced by celebrated media personality Chude Jideonwo, has finally been released after a Year-Long anticipation. After a viral teaser that sparked widespread conversation across West Africa and trended on Twitter last year, the highly anticipated docu-series “Is It Your Money?” has finally been released. Announced through an official trailer on director Chude Jideonwo’s Instagram (@chudeity), this four-part series tells “the definitive story of how Diezani Alison-Madueke went from the most powerful woman in Africa to Nigeria’s most wanted international fugitive.”
Produced by West Africa’s largest factual content studio, Chude Jideonwo Presents, the documentary boasts the biggest budget for a documentary from the region to date. Primarily funded by the MacArthur Foundation, the ambitious project was filmed across three countries—Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and the United States—spanning eight cities.
“This has been almost three years of the most painstaking research, shooting, investment, fact-checking, post-production and fending off multiple threats that we will not talk about just yet,” explains director Jideonwo.
Part 1 is now streaming exclusively on premium service withChude.com, with the remaining three parts scheduled for weekly release. Already recognized as “Best Documentary” across Nigeria and featured at international film festivals worldwide, the series is a collaborative production between YNaija Studios and Capital Film Productions.
