Bello Matawalle, Nigeria’s Minister of State for Defence and former Zamfara State governor, will host a joint wedding ceremony for nine of his children on February 6, 2026, at Abuja’s Central Mosque.
The large-scale event was announced through a general invitation distributed by Dan Jafaru Aleengoo Turakee, confirming the date and location of the simultaneous weddings.
Matawalle, who has four wives—Aisha, Balkisu, Fatima, and Dadiya—will see several of his children married on the same day. Wedding invitations have revealed some of the couples, including former Zamfara State House of Assembly Speaker Hon. Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya, who will marry Nana Bello Matawalle.
Other unions include Ibrahim Sahabi Liman marrying Farida Bello Matawalle, Yazid Shehu Dan Fulani wedding Safiya Bello Matawalle, and Umar Ibrahim Danmaliki marrying Aisha Bello Matawalle.
The ceremony is anticipated to attract notable figures and guests from across the country.
