As Nigeria celebrates Democracy Day today, June 12, 2025, Funmilola Tella, CEO of FT Rich Mummy Mortgage and Finance Services, has extended her heartfelt congratulations to her fellow citizens.
She recently urged Nigerians to remain united while upholding democratic principles and appreciating the sacrifices of fallen heroes.
Speaking via a press statement, Funmilola said that it is important to reflect on the country’s journey towards freedom and the role the grassroots have to play to shape Nigeria’s future.
“On this special day, we celebrate Nigeria’s rich history and the struggles for freedom. Let us embrace our democracy, promote unity, and work together to build a prosperous nation for all Nigerians,” she wrote.
Paying tribute to Nigerians who fought relentlessly for the nation’s democratic foundations, including those who paid the ultimate price with their lives, Tella revealed that the sacrifices should inspire citizens to keep striving for good governance and accountability.
“Their sacrifices should inspire us to continue championing good governance, accountability, and transparency at all levels,” Tella said.
She hailed the progress recorded in important sectors like healthcare, education and infrastructure, stressing the need for Nigerians to keep fulfilling their civic duties.
The CEO concluded by encouraging all Nigerians to stay informed while actively playing their vital roles to guarantee community and national development.
“The power of grassroots democracy is evident when citizens actively shape policies that reflect our shared aspirations. Our journey is far from over, and it is our collective responsibility to secure a better future.
It is only through your voices and actions that we can build a thriving and inclusive society,” she added.
