The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has published the name of Hon Francis Bartholomew Chima aka OmoBarca as the authentic House of Representatives candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party in Ajeromi Ifelodun federal constituency Lagos state.

The publication was made after an Appeal Court sitting in Lagos dismissed the case brought against him by a fellow PDP contestant after the party’s primaries in 2022. OmoBarca initially won the primaries conducted by PDP in 2022 and was issued a Certificate of Return duly signed by the National Chairman of the party Dr. Iyorchia Ayu. However, he was dragged to court by his closest rival, Rita Orji and Mr. Wilson Diriwari who rejected the result of the primaries.
With his name on the INEC portal, the philanthropist has been confirmed as the candidate for the forthcoming election on 25th February 2023.
OmoBarca also won Philanthropist of the Year at the Independent Awards 2023 event which was held last Saturday.
