FIFA-licensed football agent and sports branding expert, Dr Drew Uyi, has been announced as one of the speakers at the Africa Football Business Summit 2026 scheduled to take place in Accra, Ghana.
The two-day summit, organised by the Football Foundation for Africa, will hold from October 22 to 23 at the Alisa Hotel in Accra.
Uyi, the Founder and Managing Director of DD Eleven Group Ltd, is expected to join football executives, industry professionals and other stakeholders to discuss the business and commercial development of African football.
According to the organisers, Uyi brings experience in player representation, athlete branding and commercial development to the summit.
Registered with The Football Association in England, the British-Nigerian football agent has worked with players, coaches and clubs on areas including transfers, contract negotiations, endorsements and other commercial opportunities.
His participation is expected to focus on ways African football talents can improve their commercial value and gain greater international visibility.
A major issue to be discussed at the summit is how African football can retain a larger share of the economic value generated by players developed on the continent.
The discussions will also examine opportunities for footballers to build careers and income streams beyond their performances on the pitch.
Uyi has consistently promoted personal branding and commercial development for African athletes, stressing the importance of positioning footballers as globally marketable brands capable of attracting sponsorships, endorsements and long-term partnerships.
The Football Foundation for Africa said Uyi’s experience in football representation and sports branding would add value to discussions on creating a more commercially sustainable football industry on the continent.
The organisers said, “He joins us in Accra to contribute to the conversation on building a football economy where African talent creates greater value — on and beyond the pitch.”
The Africa Football Business Summit 2026 will bring together key stakeholders to discuss investment, business opportunities and the future of the African football industry.
