The Department of State Services, DSS, has warned those planing to incite religious violence across the country to desist from such or face the wrath of the law.

A statement by public relations officer of the DSS, Dr Peter Afunanya says Part of the plans is to cause inter-religious conflicts as well as use their foot soldiers to attack some worship centres, religious leaders, personalities and vulnerable points.

The DSS appeals to Nigerians to be wary of these antics and shun all divisive tendencies aimed at inciting them against one another.

While the Service pledges to collaborate with other security agencies to ensure public order is maintained, the Service encouraged law biding citizens to report any breach of peace around them to the nearest security agency.
