Former husband of Nollywood actress Judy Austin, Emmanuel Obasi, has once again opened up about the circumstances surrounding the collapse of their marriage, alleging that her relationship with actor Yul Edochie began while they were still together.
Speaking during an appearance on the Honest Bunch Podcast, Obasi became emotional as he recounted painful memories from the failed union. He displayed photographs from their wedding and reflected on events he believes contributed to the breakdown of the marriage.
According to Obasi, he and Judy Austin were legally married and had two children together before their relationship eventually ended. He claimed that during their time as a couple, Judy openly expressed admiration for Yul Edochie whenever the actor appeared on television.
Obasi alleged that she frequently praised the actor and paid close attention to his movies, often speaking about him in his presence.
The former husband further claimed that Judy and Yul were romantically involved while she was still living in his home, adding that he possesses evidence to support the allegation.
Reflecting on the experience, Obasi said the emotional impact of the failed marriage continues to affect him years after their separation. He noted that the pain has remained despite the passage of time.
He also voiced concern about his children, alleging that he has had little or no contact with them for more than a decade. According to him, the situation has left him deeply worried because he has been unable to actively participate in their upbringing.
In his words, he said he was married to Judy Austin and that they share two children, adding that she often spoke about her admiration for Yul Edochie whenever his movies appeared on television. Obasi maintained that he has evidence suggesting the pair were involved in a relationship during his marriage to the actress.
Reports indicate that Obasi and Judy Austin’s marriage ended around 2013. Years later, the actress went on to marry Yul Edochie as his second wife.
