Emotions ran high over the weekend as Nollywood actor Saheed Balogun attended the burial ceremony of the late mother of his former wife, actress Faithia Williams, drawing attention from guests and fans alike.
The burial, held in Lagos on Saturday, attracted a large gathering of relatives, friends and members of the Yoruba movie industry who came to honour the memory of the deceased and support the grieving actress.
Faithia appeared visibly emotional at several moments during the ceremony but was surrounded by colleagues, family members and well-wishers who offered comfort as she paid her final respects to her late mother.
Despite their divorce years ago, Saheed Balogun was present throughout the ceremony, quietly showing support to Faithia and her family during the solemn occasion. His attendance quickly became a talking point among guests at the event.
The burial featured prayers, tributes and reflections on the life of the deceased, whom family members described as a devoted mother who played a vital role in shaping the lives of her children.

Saheed Balogun’s presence particularly stirred conversations among attendees, many of whom commended the actor for demonstrating maturity and respect despite his past with Faithia.
The former couple were once regarded as one of Nollywood’s most prominent pairs before their marriage ended years ago.

Some supporters expressed hope that the former couple could reunite, describing them as “perfect together,” while others suggested their children could help bring about a reconciliation.
While fans continue to share their opinions online, whether a reunion will happen remains a decision only Saheed Balogun and Faithia Williams can make.
