Former Deputy Governor of Bauchi State, Audu Sule Katagum, has died at the age of 69.
He passed away in the early hours of Saturday, according to a statement by Shamsuddeen Lukman Abubakar, media aide to former Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar.
Katagum served as deputy governor of Bauchi State from 2018 to 2019. Before that, he was Chief of Staff at the Government House under the same administration.
A respected politician and traditional title holder, he also held the title of Wazirin Katagum and was the son of elder statesman Alhaji Sule Katagum, a former chairman of the Federal Public Service Commission.
Family sources said funeral arrangements would be announced later.
He is survived by his wife, children, and relatives.
