Veteran Fuji musician Remi Aluko has opened up about his ongoing battle with glaucoma, revealing that the eye condition has left him unable to see.
Speaking during an interview on Oyinmomo TV, the singer said he has been living with glaucoma for several years and has undergone surgery in an effort to manage the condition. Despite those efforts, his eyesight has continued to deteriorate.
Aluko explained that many people are unaware of the severity of his health challenge because he has chosen not to let it affect his outlook on life or daily activities.
The Fuji star disclosed that his vision loss has reached a stage where he now considers himself effectively blind. However, he said he remains determined to live independently and refuses to allow the condition to overwhelm him emotionally.
According to him, he has learned to care for himself and navigate life despite being unable to see. He added that maintaining a positive mindset has helped him avoid depression and continue moving forward.
Aluko said he is managing the condition as best as he can and remains grateful for his ability to adapt to his circumstances, even as he faces the realities of living without sight.
